*Electric trucks – maximum weight limit is 1000 pounds, it has features such as fold down gates and does not require gas. yes, this item may not require the use of gas but still recharging is the alternative.
*Flatbed trucks – its stake bed has a length of 14′ and a width of 7’6″, maximum weight of load is 9400 pounds. Good for transportation of some heavy equipments or items which occupies a lot of space and weight.
*Dump truck – could carry at least 2 cubic yards of soil and a weight limit of 6,000 pounds.
*Cargo trailer truck – has a maximum weight limit of 2,480 pounds with dimensions of 11’7″ x 6′ x 5’5″
There are also other types of cars for rent such as panel van, parcel van, city van, straight truck, stake truck, refrigerated truck. All these types will help you choose the right type of van suited for your relocation or business needs.
All this are just facilities of a truck rentals company, we should be well aware that this does not cover all events that our items may encounter, it is also a must to know the insurance services offered by the company in case of miscarriage or accident. Today, there are numerous companies who offer services such as this, and choosing would be a bit hard for some, but if we need to take into consideration of the important points in this one would be the condition of the trucks we would be using. Some may offer low prices but disregarding this fact may lead to delayed delivery, or worst would be road accidents.

Who offers this service, how much, how long will it take, insurance. I am moving, retiring in Udon Thani, Thailand and I want to take my new Honda Goldwing Motorcycle with me.
this has been a while ago….but it’s how I did it. I called the airline to get price and info, they were able to give me a guys name (a contractor, not an actual employee of the airline) that actually came out to my house, crated the bike, delivered to the airport (St. Louis, MO) loaded on a plane and flown to Frankfort, Germany. The whole thing cost me 700 bucks. (and that included insurance) (Be prepared for possible customs issues…the germans wanted to charge me a tax, but fortunately by being in the military i was able to get the proper forms of exemption.) From the time the guy picked it up at my house in IL, ’til I picked it up in Germany was 4 days.
-it would have been only 3 days, had I known about the right customs forms to take along.
That was back in ’91 with a 91 GSXR-750, on TWA airlines. Quite a bit smaller than a ‘wing and I’m sure alot has changed since 9/11, heck TWA is not even around anymore. But, I would start with a call to the airlines and try to reach someone in the freight dept. they should be able to get you pointed in the right direction.

p.s. i also had to remove the battery and drain all the fluids before it was picked up.
