Consumer Reports rated Farmers Insurance “worst”, Better Business Bureau rated them an “F”, J.D Power and Associates gave them their worst rating for “Claims Handling”, “Pricing”,”Overall Experience” and “Claim Settlement.
Are consumers just asleep at the wheel? Consumers just un-educated?

Farmer’s cancelled my policy without any warning, no claims filed, ahead on premiums. I will never do business with them again!
Sometimes Farmers is the best price – actually, in Pittsburgh, when I saw a Farmers policy, I knew I couldn’t beat the price, and didn’t bother to quote it, unless I knew the customer wasn’t looking with price as a major consideration.
Clients that are “forced” to buy insurance (auto by state law, homeowners by lenders) aren’t really interested in claims settlement when they purchase insurance, they just want the best price.
Also, keep in mind that Farmers is a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group, the fourth largest insurer IN THE WORLD. So they are “A” rated, financially sound, and with a major company backing them, there’s always room for service improvement!
